Tuesday report

Today we have focused on movile devices and podcasts.
First thing we have learned is the snipping tool in our laptop. ( to do screenshots with googlemaps)
Useful?  really! We can learn to give directions in Spanish and in a foreign language. Also teach orientation for special needs pupils so they can be more autonomous.
Then we did activities with our smartphones. This is not possible at our school, cause my students are 9 years ould and they are not allowed to use moviles, or at least they should not.
We took some photos of places all around and played a yes/no answer game.
Later we have been discussing the use of whatsapp as a tool. In my class we are 8 people and 6 of them are secondary teachers so they can use movile and whatsapp groups. In some countries students under 18 are not allowed. I do not agree and cannot see the advantages on this point.
Rick gave us the option to use EDMODO: a learning platform. It is like facebook, you can include parents permissions, share a group...

Now is the turn of PODCASTS. I have just heard about la vida moderna podcasts, but they are voice recording tools. Why are they different to the radio? Because you can listen to it whenever you want.
acast: is a web to find many types.
spreaker: or audacity are other apps or websites where you can create your own Podcast. We did one to proove it. My college Laurita asked some questions about Madrid, it was improvised so I am not going to share it with you. My apologies but I am shy.
